August 18, 2019
Brothers and Sisters,
I am writing to inform you of changes to the Annual Meeting date/location and other news. This information will also be included in newsletters, the sbalive.net website, and on Facebook. Thank you for your participation in these events.
Educators’ Panel: How Can My Church Serve Our Schools?
Executive Committee: September 10, 6:00 – 7:30 pm, SBA Office
We have invited members of the Suwannee & Hamilton County School Districts to form an Educators Panel and share ways our churches can serve schools. Executive Committee members and church members interested in this local mission/ministry opportunity are invited to attend this meeting.
2019 Mission Plan/Budget
A copy of the 2019 SBA Budget is attached for your review. Thank you for partnering together to fund the mission and ministry you have called us to fulfill. If your church is not contributing to the Association budget, please become a financial mission partner with your sister churches today. As you give, remember our only request is that your giving be meaningful and consistent.
2019 Annual Meeting: Sunday, October 27, 6:00 – 7:30 pm
First Baptist Church Live Oak, Family Ministry Building
The 2019 Annual Meeting has been moved. Your entire church family is invited to join Annual Meeting Messengers for this gathering as we celebrate our churches on mission and hear how God continues to work through the home-going of Callie Jordan, Andy & Ramona Jordan’s granddaughter who was killed in an accident while on mission in Mexico.
The Annual Meeting will include a mission expo highlighting the global missions of local churches. You will have opportunity to visit with mission leaders and learn how you can join God on mission in these endeavors. If your choir is interested in participating in the Annual Meeting Choir, please contact Alan Lott, First Baptist Church – Live Oak at email@example.com or (386) 362-1583 .
There will not be a meal included with the 2019 Annual Meeting. The Administrative Team has consulted with pastors and agreed that due to anticipated attendance and seating capacity, it is best to not include the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and all your excellent desserts at this gathering.
Priority Worship Weekend Cancelled: September 14 – 15, 2019
The September 14 – 15 Priority Worship Weekend event has been cancelled. We are extremely grateful to Westwood and First Baptist who offered to co-host this event. Thank you to Alan Lott (FBC – Live Oak), Terry Williams (Westwood), Jeff Ray (The Orchard), and Jason Scott (Mt Olive) for your leadership. Lord willing, we will revisit this project at a later date.
Thank you again for your prayers, encouragement for our family. Your love has been overwhelming.
In awe of His grace,
